Harness training and Da Bird!

Ulala has a long road-trip home from Denmark to the UK in a few weeks, so I’ve been getting her used to wearing a harness so that she can move around a bit more on the journey.

She’s quite sure that she doesn’t like the concept though, so I brought out the Da Bird toy because I was pretty sure that that’s one thing she wouldn’t be able to resist.

I was right. πŸ™‚

Moosh is a champion snoozer!

A Lion King moment

Moosh has been practicing being king of all he surveys in his domain today.

Inside:

Pretty kitty

And out:

Lala really has quite strong objections…

…to having her ears cleaned.

Her expressions say it all!

Mushu is in love!

Look what I just saw

Mushu is head-over-heels! He’s absolutely fascinated by Ulala, and wants to watch everything she does.

She doesn’t really seem to mind: she’s a friendly cat and her only objection seems to be having her ears cleaned.

Putting Mushu in his place

Sometimes, when he’s too enthusiastic or forgets his manners, Lala needs to put him back in his place with a tap of her paw on the top of his head.

She also makes the cutest little huffing noises through her nose to let him know what he’s doing is irritating her. At this rate, she’ll have him trained in no time!

Meet Ulala

Now that she’s had time to recover from her very long journey and settle in a bit, it’s time that the two cats got to know one another.

Introductions between Mushu and Ulala have been going extremely well over the last couple of days, and we’ve gotten to the point where they’re testing the waters with interacting with one another, albeit still with some reservations. He is absolutely fascinated with her, though, while she’s mainly interested in finding out where she is and what’s going on. πŸ™‚

Here’s Moosh’s latest sneaky-but-smooth approach while a feather distracts Lala.

Who let the cat out of the bag?

  • What do you mean, I don't fit in the bag

Mushu has been combining his enthusiasms for ignoring his actual toys in favour of freebies, and sunning. The result: snoozing and rolling around in a paper bag from last night’s takeaways. It seems it doesn’t take much to make a cat happy!
